Despite the pressure of the larger European countries to accept the solutions that were previously proposed, we succeeded in pushing through all the important articles for Poland: the good Nice voting system until 2017, the Ioannina compromise, which makes it easier to block bad decisions for our country, the energy solidarity protecting us from extortion and keeping the primacy of Polish law over the EU's. It pays to be firm in defending the Polish interest. Thanks to this attitude the previous government succeeded to eke out 67,5 billion Euro from the EU. Today, these funds, together with Polish contributions, are changing the face of our country. Poland comes out of the civilizational collapse after the era of communism and takes up the chance for civilizational advance. But not everything in the EU is necessarily good for Poland. According to experts some articles in the so-called Charter of Fundamental Rights could, with unpredictable decisions of the European Court of Justice, lead to many German claims against Polish citizens demanding restitution or compensation for property left on the western and northern territories which came to Poland after World War ...
