'Swine Flue" Topples down Bulgaria's Health Minister

The swine flu overthrew a Bulgarian minister. Bozhidar Nanev - minister of health tabled his resignation after the prosecution's office accused him of signing an unprofitable deal. "With that deal the minister has defrauded the state revenue by 2.5 million leva (1 euro=1.95 leva)," announced Margarita Nemska - monitoring prosecutor on the first case against a minister from the incumbent cabinet. She explained that Bozhidar Nanev has signed two contracts for delivery of "Tamiflu" - vaccine combating swine flu, at a price was much higher than the offered by another company.
The delivery of medicines occurred a month and a half after the officially announced end of the flue epidemics.
"The case is really a very grave one," Nemska was explicit.
Nanev's case has been investigated by agents from the State Agency for National Security and the PM reportedly ordered the checks personally. A day ago SANS discovered the fraud and reported to Bulgaria's Prosecutor General who ordered an investigation and according to the conclusions of the prosecutors, charges were launched.
