UPDATE 10.55am: THE wife of missing Melbourne millionaire Herman Rockefeller says her husband has vanished without a trace.
Police are baffled by the father-of-two's disappearance. He has not been seen since he arrived at Melbourne airport on Thursday after an interstate business trip.
Police say they have no idea what happened after he left a long-term carpark and motored into Melrose Drive.
His wife Vicky Rockefeller said there is absolutely nothing to indicate what may have happened to her husband once he left the airport.
"We really need the help of the public because we've just reached a dead end so to speak,'' Ms Rockefeller told ABC Radio today.
"There's just nothing from 9.35 (pm). We've been through the phone records, credit cards, banks, tollways, everything. I mean, everything possible has been checked and there's just nothing.''

Mr Rockefeller turns 52 today and his wife said he was in great spirits and there were no disputes, conflicts or hints of a secret life to arouse suspicion.
"When he's at home, we actually work from home, because I work for the business as well and we actually sit in the same office. It's not a very big room, so I hear all the telephone conversations.''
Mr Rockefeller disembarked from his flight into Melbourne at 9pm and collected his 2007 Toyota Prius before leaving the airport terminal.
The Harvard graduate and former Carlton United Breweries director had returned from a four-day business trip to Newcastle with brother Robert.
Police said an arm, appearing to wear similar clothing to that of Mr Rockefeller, emerged from the car, registered UUP 682, and paid the parking fee by credit card at 9.32pm.
There is no indication of his movements from there.
He did not use his most likely route of CityLink to head in the direction of home, his phone has not been turned back on since it was switched off for the flight and no bank transactions have been made.
Mrs Rockefeller said she was devastated by the sudden absence.
She said her husband, who was excited about their 18-year-old daughter's admission to study medicine at Monash University, tried to call her at 6.10pm.
Mrs Rockefeller had her phone on silent because she was at the Australian Open tennis but texted him to say they would be arriving home about the same time.
"There's just nothing. You just can't imagine what it's like. It's unbearable," she said.
Robert Rockefeller said he and his brother worked in property investment and had just had a successful and enjoyable trip north.
"I spent probably the best four days I've spent with my brother," he said.
He said the family was not related to the legendary American business clan.
Sen-Det Peter Towner, of Stonnington CIU, said the case was the most puzzling he had encountered in a 31-year career.
There is footage of the US-born Mr Rockefeller walking through the airport with a laptop computer, satchel and three grapefruit he had bought earlier in the day.
He was not approached by anyone in that time.
Sen-Det Towner said investigators had spoken to other passengers who sat near Mr Rockefeller on Virgin flight DJ346, which came to Melbourne via Brisbane.
This yielded nothing to help the investigation.
Mr Rockefeller, of Malvern East, was wearing a grey business suit and white shirt when last seen.
The disappearance is described as out of character.
Mr Rockefeller is 170cm tall, and of medium build with short, balding hair.
