Ireland Cancels Order For 3.7 Million Swine Flu Vaccines

An order placed by the State for some 3.7 million doses of swine flu vaccine from the Baxter pharmaceutical company has been cancelled, the Health Service Executive has confirmed, writes .

It said the vaccines were no longer required now that experts agreed most people would only require one dose. It was originally envisaged two jabs would be required.

A spokeswoman said this would result in a saving of €25 million to €35 million.
